Coastal Bend Waste is the premier local garbage collection company for the Aransas County and surrounding areas. We specialize in residential and commercial trash service for areas outside of the city limits. We are growing and in search of a qualified CDL driver to join our team.
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CDL Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating various types of refuse trucks, including rear load, side load, and front load trucks. This role is essential for ensuring the safe and timely pickup of garbage for our clients while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Operate and drive different types of trucks including rear load, side load, and front load trucks.
- Deliver dumpsters and bins to customers as needed.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain accurate records, including logs of driving hours and vehicle maintenance.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
Skills
- In possession of a valid Class B CDL
- Proficiency in truck driving with experience in driving CDL vehicles.
- Familiarity with route driving techniques and best practices for efficient navigation.
- Ability to operate various truck types.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
- Attention to detail for maintaining accurate logs and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with picking up trash.
