J.T. Hoover Concrete, Inc. is looking for a well-rounded individual to join our team as a Construction Field Review Specialist. The ideal candidate must possess great communication skills, be detail oriented and have the ability to multitask and problem solve. Self-starter and proactive follow through skills are a must. This position includes full time employment, complete with a competitive compensation and benefits package.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Read, analyze, and interpret construction documents, specifications, and blue prints
- Ability to confirm all construction material takeoffs (concrete takeoff a plus)
- Review all billable data for accuracy
- Analyze field data to what we are presenting builders for payment, identify variances
- Verify subcontractor billing for accuracy
- Identify root causes for transaction or billing related errors
- Identify opportunities for process improvement to prevent recurrence of the issue; develop and implement solutions; provide cross training to team members affected by the new/revised processes
- Observe and advise management team on issues relating to the billing process
- Ability to mobilize across teams as opportunity arises- Billing, Estimating, CAD departments
Requirements
- Bi-lingual
- CAD, Bluebeam, or Blueprint reading a must
- Professional, positive and friendly attitude at all times
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to take ownership of duties with good follow through and perform all tasks described above with minimal supervision
- Ability to communicate well with outside customers and subcontractors as well as all levels of internal management and coworkers
- Ability to balance workload and prioritize in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines
- Must be able to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail
- Ability to learn new technology and new processes
- Ability to understand and follow complex processes
- Bi-lingual language skills a plus
- Knowledge of standard residential construction practices a plus
