We are one of the leading aircraft salvage companies in the world, based in Greeley, CO, with a satelite location in Bates City, MO.
Our Aviation Parts Research Team takes airplane and helicopter parts and runs them through a process that allows us to sell them through our industry-leading e-commerce store to customers worldwide. A Researcher’s job is to take each part, identify the details, and perform a series of tasks to prepare that part for listing in our store. Those steps include, among others, documenting, imaging, tagging, and organizing into the warehouse before the parts can be made available for sale.
Sometimes, this process is easy; the details come with the part. Sometimes, it requires the ability to carefully examine a diagram in a parts book, identify the correct part, assign the proper part number, and then complete the rest of the process.
If you have computer skills and the right attitude, we look forward to training you on our processes. Be sure to tell us why we should hire you in your cover letter.

Being trainable, coachable, and capable of working quickly and efficiently are keys to success in this role. Spending extended periods of time doing research, performing repetitive tasks, studying parts manuals, and identifying parts of a diagram are repetitive tasks you will execute daily. An individual with a positive outlook and excellent work ethic who is patient but tenacious, honest, and detail-oriented will thrive in our organization for the long term.
If you are interested in this role but lack experience, or you are looking to change fields, tell us in your cover letter why we should consider you. A high-quality cover letter might make the difference.
The BAS organization is a great place to work and grow, with an outstanding family environment of hard-working, team-oriented professionals performing a wide range of tasks that impact customers in over 70 countries. We take good care of our team! We will train you on the job starting on day one. And we will support you thoroughly throughout your career with BAS. We do not expect you to know anything about airplanes, but a genuine interest in aviation can be helpful. The ability to learn the process and repeat it quickly and accurately throughout the workday is critical.
Due to recent acquisitions, we have a massive inventory of airplane parts. These aviation parts must be properly researched and documented before they can be made available for sale, and we need to expand our Research staff as soon as possible.
There are numerous ways the right candidate for this open Researcher role could grow into a higher level of responsibility over time as BAS is growing rapidly.
