We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Server to join our vibrant hospitality team! As a Server, you will be the face of our restaurant, delivering exceptional guest experiences through attentive service, expert knowledge of our menu, and a lively, welcoming attitude. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff and bar team
- Provide detailed menu recommendations, including wine pairings and cocktail options, to enhance guest satisfaction
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Upsell menu items such as specialty cocktails, premium spirits, or desserts to maximize sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately through POS systems, process payments swiftly, and manage cash handling responsibilities
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by adhering to proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols
- Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas quickly during busy periods, and supporting host/hostess duties when needed
- Engage with guests to foster positive relationships, address concerns promptly, and ensure a memorable dining experience
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant experience in a food service or hospitality role is highly preferred; fine dining experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is advantageous
- Demonstrated skills in customer service, guest relations, and effective communication
- Ability to manage time efficiently during high-volume service periods while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of wine varieties, spirits, cocktail preparation, and food safety regulations
- Experience in food handling, food preparation support, bussing, or serving in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for sales transaction processing and cash handling accuracy
- Culinary experience or kitchen familiarity is beneficial but not required; a passion for the food industry is essential
