Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to assist in NYC with the right credentials. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently operating various types of heavy equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, and Hi-Lo lift trucks, to load, unload, and move materials within the event site. Your expertise in Forklift Operating systems and materials handling will ensure smooth operations. A valid OSHA 30-hour certification and SST-40 certification are required to uphold safety standards and compliance. Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and Hi-Lo equipment to load and unload efficiently.
- Conduct routine inspections and minor repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Collaborate with team members on heavy lifting tasks and ensure proper use of mechanical knowledge for safe operations.
- Participate in warehouse safety training sessions and maintain compliance with OSHA30 safety requirements.
Requirements
- Valid OSHA 30-hour certification is mandatory; SST-40 certification is required prior to or upon hire.
- Proven experience operating lift trucks, reach trucks, clamp trucks, or other heavy equipment in a warehouse setting.
- Mechanical knowledge for basic equipment repair and troubleshooting.
- Experience with shipping & receiving processes, heavy lifting, and materials handling procedures.
