Job Summary:
Wise Staffing Group is seeking a detail-oriented Research & Development (R&D) Technician for a manufacturing client. In this role, you will support product development, testing, quality evaluations, and process improvements while ensuring products meet company standards. You will work closely with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams to conduct testing, document results, analyze data, and assist with the development of new and existing products. The ideal candidate has experience in manufacturing, quality assurance, or a technical environment, possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and is committed to producing high-quality work in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the development, testing, and evaluation of new and existing food products.
- Prepare product samples and accurately document testing results, observations, and data.
- Perform quality inspections to ensure products meet company, customer, and food safety standards.
- Collaborate with Research & Development, Quality Assurance, and Production teams to support product improvements and process optimization.
- Maintain accurate records and follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and food safety guidelines.
- Operate and maintain laboratory or testing equipment while ensuring a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Support product trials, investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or higher in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in food manufacturing, quality assurance, R&D, or laboratory/testing environments preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately record and interpret data.
- Basic understanding of food safety standards, GMPs, and sanitation procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) for documentation and data tracking.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions, SOPs, and technical procedures consistently.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
