About the Role
We are seeking a talented and motivated Sous Chef to join our upscale American bistro located in Plano, TX. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary excellence, strong leadership skills, and the ability to maintain high standards in a fast-paced, fine dining environment.
- Assist the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations and menu planning.
- Supervise and coordinate food preparation and cooking activities.
- Ensure consistent quality and presentation of all dishes served.
- Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
- Train, mentor, and manage kitchen staff to uphold culinary standards.
- Enforce health and safety regulations and maintain a clean kitchen environment.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in an upscale American bistro or fine dining restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of American cuisine and contemporary culinary techniques.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen sanitation.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
