POSITION TITLE: Systems Engineer
Kodak Alaris is seeking a self-motivated Imaging Systems Engineer to join our Kodak Moments Hardware Systems Solutions group. The Imaging Systems Engineer is responsible for the design, integration, testing, and lifecycle support of electrical, mechanical, and systems-level solutions used in Kodak Moments products, including photo kiosks, travel & leisure imaging solutions, and related hardware subsystems.
This position offers a unique opportunity to develop technology that enhances guest experiences in travel, leisure, attraction, entertainment, and hospitality venues around the world. Our products help consumers capture, share, and preserve some of life's most memorable moments, creating engaging engineering challenges that combine imaging, hardware, automation, reliability, and customer experience. Engineers in this role have the opportunity to see their solutions deployed in real-world environments where they directly impact millions of consumer interactions and experiences.
This role covers end-to-end system development spanning system architecture, hardware selection, electrical and mechanical integration, imaging and camera subsystems, prototype evaluation, documentation, commercialization support, and sustaining engineering. The engineer works across hardware, software, service, quality, manufacturing, and supplier teams to translate business, customer, service, regulatory, and manufacturing needs into practical system solutions. Camera and image-capture experience is strongly desired.
Software development is not the primary focus of this role. However, working knowledge of software interfaces, vendor SDKs/APIs, scripting, and prototype development is desirable to support system evaluation, troubleshooting, and proof-of-concept activities.
The successful candidate will possess an inventive spirit, strong technical curiosity, and a passion for solving complex engineering challenges. They will be motivated by the opportunity to transform ideas into practical, scalable solutions and will view technical obstacles not as roadblocks, but as opportunities for innovation.
Regular access to the Rochester NY or Orlando FL office and development labs will be required. Occasional domestic or international travel may be required.
