Bank Reconciliation Specialist to support corporate finance operations. This is a long-term contract opportunity with strong potential to convert to a permanent position for the right candidate. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting fundamentals, hands-on reconciliation experience, and expertise working within the Infor (Lawson) system.
Job Title: Bank Reconciliation Specialist (Contract to Hire)
Location: Philadelphia, PA (19104) - Fully Onsite
Pay Rate: $30-$32/hour
Key Responsibilities
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy between bank statements and internal financial records • Utilize Infor Cash Management to match transactions between the general ledger and bank activity • Investigate, analyze, and resolve discrepancies, variances, and unmatched transactions • Extract and validate financial data using Infor Query tools • Collaborate with IT and system administrators to troubleshoot posting errors, interface issues, and workflow failures • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of reconciliations and adjustments • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including general ledger support • Partner with internal accounting teams to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial reporting • Support internal and external audits related to bank reconciliations • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy • Respond to internal inquiries related to cash activity and reconciliation status
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field • 2+ years of bank reconciliation or relevant accounting experience • Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles • Hands-on experience with
Infor (Lawson) financial system required • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and overall Microsoft Office Suite • Experience with general ledger, cash management, and accounts payable modules • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team • High level of professionalism and ability to handle sensitive financial data
Preferred Experience
• Experience supporting audits and financial reporting processes • Background in process improvement initiatives • Experience training or supporting other team members
