Roll Summary:
Proteus Genomics is adding a Full Time Specimen Accessioner to our night shift team. The position will be centered around receiving, sorting, and handling samples. This individual will process and prepare batches of samples for various departments. Work schedule will be approximately 11pm - 7 am, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities
- Receives and sorts samples by specimen type
- Prepares batches and enters specimen information for chemistry department
- Prepares batches for molecular department
- Performs data entry login of patient demographics, clinical information, specimen source, and test(s) orders from specimen requisitions into computer systems as needed.
- Contributes to a positive work climate and to the team effort of the department and company.
Qualifications:
- One to two years of prior laboratory experience is preferred
- Background with specimen accessioning
- Organized and detail oriented
- Flexible mindset and ability to work with a growing team
- Independence and reliability with limited supervision
- Proficient with software systems - ideally MS Excel and web based LIMS/EMR
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
