Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly and warmly upon arrival, providing a positive first impression
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing information and assisting with reservations or inquiries
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and smooth flow of service
- Maintain a clean, organized host stand and waiting area to enhance guest comfort and safety
- Communicate effectively with guests regarding wait times, menu options, and special requests
- Assist in guest relations by addressing concerns courteously and escalating issues when necessary to ensure satisfaction
Requirements
- Previous experience as a host or hostess in food service or restaurant environments preferred
- Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette and guest interaction abilities
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Experience in customer service, hospitality, or hotel guest services highly desirable
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining a positive attitude
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, serving etiquette, and guest relations practices
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential for success in this role
