Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Paralegal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in various areas of law, including but not limited to estate planning and medical assistance applications . This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Paralegal Assistant will support attorney and other staff with answering calls, assisting clients, document creation, legal research, and document management.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorney in preparing legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, and motions.
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools like LexisNexis and Westlaw.
- Manage case files and maintain organized document management systems.
- Perform document review and proofreading to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Support project management tasks related to ongoing cases.

- Provide executive administrative support including scheduling appointments and managing correspondence.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information in accordance with legal standards.
Experience
- Previous paralegal experience or legal administrative experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with various areas of law including Wills, Financial Powers of Attorney, Trusts and Medical Assistance.
- Strong writing skills for legal drafting and transcription tasks.
- Excellent research skills with the ability to analyze complex information effectively.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Experience in clerical duties including data entry and maintaining filing systems.
