About the Position Cals Automotive Repair is looking for an experienced Service Writer to join our team in Conroe, Texas. As the first point of contact for our customers, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional service, accurately diagnosing customer needs, and ensuring smooth operations in our busy automotive repair shop. Key Responsibilities- Greet customers, listen to their vehicle concerns, and provide professional recommendations- Write accurate and detailed repair orders Explain repairs, pricing, and timelines clearly to customers . Schedule appointments and manage workflow between customers and technicians. Follow up with customers on service updates and completed work. Process payments and handle invoices. Maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business and positive reviews .
Qualifications & Requirements previous experience as a Service Writer or similar role in an automotive repair environment is required . Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional, and patient demeanor . Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)- Proficient in automotive shop management software . Basic mechanical knowledge and the ability to understand vehicle repair needs- Reliable, organized, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. High school diploma or equivalent (automotive technical training is a plus).
