Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and assist with their drink and food orders promptly and accurately
- Serve beverages including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic options with finesse and attention to detail
- Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales transactions efficiently
- Upsell menu items and drink specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in line with food safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation procedures
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately while processing cash transactions and processing payments via POS systems
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food delivery, assist with bussing tables, and support overall guest relations to foster a welcoming environment
- Demonstrate strong time management skills by prioritizing tasks during busy service hours while maintaining high-quality service standards
- Use OpenTable or similar reservation systems to manage guest seating efficiently when applicable
- Engage guests with knowledgeable wine and spirits recommendations, enhancing their overall experience
Qualifications
- Previous food service or restaurant experience preferred; fine dining experience is a plus
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
- Strong knowledge of beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Basic math skills for processing sales and making change confidently
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures
- Experience with food preparation or kitchen support roles is advantageous
- Strong communication skills for guest interactions and teamwork within a fast-paced environment
- Hospitality or food industry background preferred; culinary experience is a bonus
- Ability to stand for extended periods while maintaining enthusiasm and professionalism
