The Mathematics Department is seeking a dynamic and collaborative full-time mathematics teacher for the 2026–27 academic year. This position includes teaching a range of upper-level high school mathematics courses, including some of Proctor’s most advanced offerings such as AP Calculus and other high-level math electives. We are looking for an educator with strong content knowledge, a passion for working with adolescents, and the ability to make challenging mathematical concepts engaging, accessible, and relevant for students with a wide range of learning profiles. Experience teaching advanced mathematics courses and familiarity with student-centered instructional practices are highly valued.
As a boarding school educator at Proctor, faculty members play an active and important role in all aspects of community life. In addition to teaching responsibilities, this position may include advising, coaching, helping lead afternoon programs, serving as a wilderness orientation and Project Period leader, participating in evening duties, and fully engaging in the vibrant residential life of the school.
