Position Summary
The Maintenance Supervisor oversees all aspects of the maintenance department, including facilities, grounds, and associated utilities. This role ensures a safe, efficient, and well‑maintained environment that supports daily operations across the organization. The position reports directly to the Brook Lane Manager of Facilities Engineering.
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field preferred
- 3–5 years of maintenance experience preferred
- Broad background in mechanical and construction work, including electrical systems, HVAC/refrigeration, carpentry, and life safety code requirements
- Previous management or supervisory experience required
- Ability to train staff on equipment operation and job‑specific tasks
- Ability to interpret written, verbal, diagrammatic, and schedule‑based instructions
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting safety rules, blueprints, schematics, operating manuals, and maintenance documentation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports and correspondence
- Knowledge of Preventive Maintenance Programs
- Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and structural principles
- Experience writing employee evaluations, maintenance procedures, and job descriptions
- Computer literacy required
