Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate patient care by assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts.
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems while maintaining strict HIPAA compliance.
- Support patients with specialized needs including Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, and behavioral health conditions.
- Assist healthcare professionals with medical procedures such as catheter care, phlebotomy, medication administration under supervision, and aseptic techniques.
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols, proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and following Level I Trauma Center or ICU standards when applicable.
- Document patient interactions thoroughly to ensure accurate medical records and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams in settings like hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or outpatient clinics to deliver holistic patient care.
Qualifications
- Valid CNA certification from an accredited program; current state licensure required.
- Experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (including ICU or Level II trauma centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks for documentation purposes.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support procedures.
- Prior experience with specialized care areas including Alzheimer’s/dementia/memory care or behavioral health is advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges; experience in pediatrics or geriatrics is a plus.
- Strong communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach to patient service and caregiving duties.
