Responsibilities
- Conduct in-home consultations to assess client needs and present customized window treatment options, including blinds, shades, shutters, and draperies.
- Demonstrate product features through engaging demos and explain the benefits of various materials and styles to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Develop strong customer relationships by providing exceptional service, understanding client preferences, and offering tailored solutions that meet their aesthetic and functional needs.
- Manage the entire sales process from initial consultation through deal closing, including upselling complementary products.
- Negotiate pricing and terms confidently while ensuring customer satisfaction and maximizing sales opportunities.
- Maintain detailed records of client interactions using CRM systems and follow up proactively to ensure ongoing satisfaction and future business opportunities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in outside sales or retail sales with a focus on high-end or custom products.
- Strong technical proficiency with tools such as POS systems, and CRM platforms.
- Knowledge of interior design, renovation, remodeling, construction processes, or construction sales is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse clientele.
- Ability to interpret basic math calculations related to measurements, pricing, and material quantities accurately.
- Demonstrated success in deal closing and upselling techniques within a customer service-oriented environment.
- Familiarity with interior design principles, lighting design concepts, and layout planning enhances your ability to deliver comprehensive solutions.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple client appointments efficiently while maintaining detailed documentation.
- Experience with merchandising, marketing strategies, product demos, and client relationship building is advantageous.
Pay: $16/hour base + commission. Total compensation for a developing consultant in months 4–6 typically ranges $3,400–$4,200/month, and grows from there as you move to our full commission structure.
