Job Summary
Nouveau Bistro & Lounge is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes with precision, creativity, and consistency, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Assist in menu planning and development to keep offerings innovative and aligned with customer preferences.
- Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs.
- Oversee food safety practices by maintaining cleanliness, proper food handling procedures, and compliance with health regulations.
- Support catering events and banquet services by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining quality standards.
- Lead by example in fostering teamwork, maintaining a positive kitchen environment, and upholding hospitality excellence.
Requirements
- Proven culinary experience with a strong background in fine dining environments; banquet experience is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated supervising or team management experience within a busy kitchen setting.
- Knowledge of food production processes, inventory management, and food safety regulations.
- Skilled in food preparation techniques including cooking, plating, and presentation.
- Experience in restaurant management or food service management is preferred.
- Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills to motivate team members and ensure smooth operations.
