Purchasing & Inventory Assistant

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm

LBU Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing & Inventory Assistant to support our Purchasing Manager and ensure our production teams always have the materials they need. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role within a manufacturing and textile-driven environment. The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, and comfortable working with fabrics, components, and raw materials while maintaining accurate purchasing and inventory records.
ResponsibilitiesPurchasing & Vendor Coordination
- Support the Purchasing Manager with day-to-day purchasing tasks.
- Source, price, and order raw materials including fabrics, trims, and components.
- Follow up with vendors regarding order status, lead times, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Create, update, and maintain purchase orders and related documentation.
Inventory Management
- Track incoming shipments; verify quantities, quality, and accuracy.
- Identify and report shortages, delays, or damaged goods.
- Maintain organized inventory systems and stock levels to support production timelines.
- Assist with cycle counts and regular inventory reconciliation.
Production & Sample Support
- Pull fabric, trims, and material swatches for sample development and new client orders.
- Ensure materials are properly labeled, stored, and accessible to production and design teams.
- Support production with material-related questions and requests.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in purchasing, inventory management, production support, or materials coordination (manufacturing environment strongly preferred).
- Experience with fabrics, textiles, or soft goods is highly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Excel and comfort with purchase order systems or basic inventory software.
- Ability to work on-site full-time in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Dependable, proactive, and able to follow through on tasks with minimal supervision.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
