Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Laboratory Support Specialist to join our diagnostic team. In this vital role, you will provide essential support across various laboratory functions, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of sample processing and laboratory workflow.
Responsibilities
- Following the laboratory’s procedures for specimen handling and processing, accessioning, test analyses, reporting to lab director and maintaining data records of patient testing.
- Adhering to laboratory’s quality control policies and documenting all QC activities, instrument calibrations, and instrument maintenance
- Following laboratory’s policies whenever systems are not within the laboratory’s established levels of performance
- Adhering to laboratory’s quality control policies and documenting all QC activities, instrument and procedural calibrations, and instrument maintenance
- Documenting all corrective actions taken when systems deviate from the laboratory’s established performance specifications
- Performing high complexity testing under the direct supervision of a supervisor
- Additional responsibilities include various duties as assigned by a supervisor
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in medical technology, clinical laboratory science or chemical, physical, or biological science
- Minimum GPA of 3.6 required
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
