Sheet Metal Top Helper

Job Summary:
Proman Skilled Trades is seeking reliable Sheet Metal Top Helpers to assist with the installation of HVAC sheet metal duct systems at Tyndall Air Force Base. This role supports experienced mechanics on a federal government project and is ideal for candidates looking to grow in the skilled trades.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with installation of HVAC sheet metal ductwork
- Measure, cut, and help assemble duct systems
- Hold and position ductwork during installation
- Use basic hand and power tools (drills, snips, screw guns)
- Transport materials and maintain organized work areas
- Follow all job site safety and military base regulations
- Take direction from lead mechanics and supervisors
Qualifications:
- Construction or mechanical experience preferred (not required)
- Ability to use basic tools and read a tape measure
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Able to lift 50+ lbs and work in a physical environment
- Dependable and punctual (early morning start)
Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship is required due to federal government contract requirements for work on Tyndall AFB.
- MUST pass background check and obtain badge for base access
Work Environment:
- Active construction site on a secured military installation
- Indoor and outdoor work conditions
- Adherence to strict safety and security protocols
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
