Duties
- Prepare and set up breakfast buffet stations, ensuring all food items are fresh, appealing, and properly arranged in accordance with food safety standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as slicing fruits, assembling breakfast items, and replenishing supplies to maintain a fully stocked buffet.
- Maintain cleanliness of the breakfast area by cleaning tables, counters, and equipment regularly, following sanitizing procedures to uphold food safety standards.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including toasters, coffee machines, and warming trays, ensuring all appliances are functioning correctly.
- Greet guests warmly in person, provide attentive customer service, answer questions about menu items or dietary options, and assist with food handling as needed.
- Process cash transactions accurately at the breakfast service point using POS (Point of Sale) systems; handle weight-based food items with care during serving.
- Follow food safety management protocols diligently to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations at all times.
Experience
- Previous experience in fine dining or restaurant environments is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated skills in food preparation, serving, and food handling within hospitality settings.
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment and adhering to food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Experience with POS systems for processing transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of wine pairing or beverage service is a plus but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests in person.
- Background in catering or culinary roles that involve food safety management and manual handling is advantageous.
