Applications are being accepted by the Department of Parks, Recreation & Culture for part-time Facility Supervisors at the Casey Community Center, one of the most iconic and recognizable landmarks in Gaithersburg. The center offers a variety of community events, programs, and services for all ages, as well as rental space for celebrations, events, or meetings.
As a Facility Supervisor, you will help maintain safe and secure operation of the facility and contribute to a positive and enjoyable experience for all who contact or visit the facility. Staff is needed to work assigned shifts on weekday evenings and weekends, as well as to substitute on an as-needed basis. Weekday evening shifts must be able to work 5 p.m. to closing; weekend shifts must be able to work from 8 a.m. to closing.
We are looking for individuals who enjoy working with people of diverse ages and backgrounds and are able to interact with customers and staff in a positive, courteous, and respectful manner. Ability to communicate fluently (speak, read, write) in both English and Spanish is preferred. Hours per week will vary depending on operational needs of the facility, but will not exceed an average of 27.5 hours per week. You must be able to work weekends. Starting hourly rate is $18 to $19 per hour, and will be offered at a level consistent with duties assigned and experience and qualifications of the candidate. Direct deposit of paychecks is a condition of employment for all City of Gaithersburg employees.
