Valid Florida Driver’s License and PBC Risk Management Department driving history approval prior to appointment. Tuberculosis (TB) Test required for selected candidate.
Must pass a Level 2 background check prior to appointment.
THIS IS AN AT-WILL POSITION.
Performs technical and administrative work providing assessment, case management, and linkage to federal, state, and other programs administered in the Department of Community Services for indigent residents and/or seniors. Evaluates information and determines eligibility for assistance. Institutes program action, conducts home visits, develops care plans, provides comprehensive case management, and prepares care reports within the general framework of professional casework techniques and existing laws and regulations governing the social services program. Case Manager II may act as supervisor designee. Case Manager II differs from Case Manager I by demonstrating a high level of professional and interpersonal skills to include public speaking, training, resource development, and direct case management of complex services. Work is reviewed by an administrative superior through conferences, reports, and observation of results obtained.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires qualified applicants to possess one of the following:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Sociology, or Psychology; minimum of two (2) years of experience in social services or related field,
OR
- An unrelated Bachelor’s Degree; minimum of three (3) years of experience in social services or related field,
OR
- An Associate’s Degree in Social Work, Sociology, or Psychology; minimum of four (4) years of experience in social services or related field,
OR
- Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of six (6) years of experience in social services or related field.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred qualifications include:
- Knowledge of community-based resources, services, prioritization screening, and assessment tools (must specify on application),
- Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW), and
- Bi/trilingual (English/Spanish/Creole).
