Job Title: Aligner
Job Description
The Aligner installs precision components into machine tool bed castings, including units, ball screws, and linear guides, ensuring accurate alignment and geometry of the machine tool within a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities

Proactively maintain a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.

Inspect and clean castings prior to assembly to ensure components meet quality standards.

Install precision parts on machined castings, including units, ball screws, and linear guides.

Verify the parallelism and alignment of linear guides and ball screws to meet specification requirements.

Install precision units onto machine tools, ensuring correct fit and function.

Use precision measuring instruments to check and validate the geometry of the machine tool.

Operate an overhead crane to safely install heavy components onto the machine tool.

Operate a walk-behind fork truck to transport parts and assemblies within the facility.

Operate an overhead crane to move machine tools to different locations within the facility as needed.
Essential Skills

Hands-on mechanical assembly skills with the ability to install precision parts on machined castings.

Proficiency in using hand tools for mechanical assembly tasks.

Ability to use precision measuring instruments to verify machine tool geometry and alignment.

Capability to operate an overhead crane safely to lift and position heavy components.

Ability to operate a walk-behind fork truck to transport parts and equipment.

Strong attention to detail when inspecting and cleaning castings and components.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
