Responsibilities
As our Montessori Primary Lead Teacher, you will:
- Prepare and maintain an authentic Montessori learning environment.
- Present Montessori lessons in Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Mathematics, and Cultural Studies.
- Observe each child's development and create individualized learning opportunities.
- Foster independence, concentration, confidence, and respect.
- Maintain accurate student observations and developmental records.
- Build strong relationships with families through regular communication.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and leadership to ensure classroom excellence.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom.
- Ensure compliance with Bright from the Start (DECAL) licensing requirements.
Qualifications
Preferred candidates will have:
- Montessori Primary Certification (AMI, AMS, IMC, PAMS, MACTE-accredited program, or equivalent) preferred
- Bachelor's or Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- CDA accepted with relevant Montessori experience
- Minimum of two years of preschool or Montessori teaching experience preferred
- Strong classroom management and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Passion for child-centered education
- CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Montessori classrooms
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
- Knowledge of Georgia Bright from the Start licensing regulations
- Experience with child assessments and developmental observations
- Positive, collaborative, and growth-minded attitude
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
