Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Dump Truck Driver class B and be an essential part of our construction operations! In this role, you’ll operate dump trucks and other heavy equipment, contributing to various projects with your expertise in construction site activities. Your mechanical knowledge and experience will drive efficiency and safety on the job, ensuring that materials are transported smoothly and effectively.
What you’ll do
- Safely operate dump trucks for transporting materials to and from construction sites.
- Collaborate with team members to load and unload materials using heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, and dozers.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in safe working condition before each shift.
- Maintain accurate logs of hours driven, materials transported, and any incidents that occur during operations.
- Engage in grading operations using graders and assist with paving tasks as needed.
- Operate water trucks for dust control on job sites while adhering to safety regulations.
- Participate in horizontal drilling projects when required, showcasing your versatility in heavy equipment operation.
- Work closely with site supervisors to ensure timely delivery of materials and adherence to project timelines.
Basic qualifications
- Valid Class B or A commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience operating dump trucks and other heavy machinery in a construction environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues on-site.
Preferred qualifications
- Familiarity with Caterpillar machinery and various types of heavy equipment operation.
- Experience in construction site operations, including grading, paving, and excavation tasks.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a strong focus on safety protocols.
