Responsibilities
Must have good background, driving record and clearing house.
- Safely operate tractor-trailers equipped with tanker units across regional and national routes, maintaining compliance with all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
- Load and unload hazardous checmicals using appropriate equipment, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and tank integrity.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, fuel consumption, and delivery documentation in compliance with federal and state laws.
- Route driving efficiently to meet delivery schedules while prioritizing safety and customer satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates, delays, or issues encountered on the road.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly to ensure vehicle safety and reliability.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- TWIC card and Passport not required but a plus as there is loads going to Canada.
- Proven experience in truck driving, especially with tractor-trailers or freight hauling over long distances.
- Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently.
- Knowledge of load & unload procedures for hazardous chemicals
- Experience with pump offs but will train.
- Ability to handle route driving independently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations related to commercial trucking and transportation safety standards.
Pay: $2,500.00 - $3,400.00 per week
