Your Role: The Classroom Aide will assist in providing break and lunch relief to other center staff, support the teacher(s) in the implementation of daily activities, organize the learning environment and help maintain a clean and organized classroom.
Needed Attributes: The ability to be highly flexible and adaptable. Also, capable of responding quickly to the changing needs of children, families and Easterseals Washington and the ability to professionally interact and communicate with all parties.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 18 years of age or older
- High school graduate or GED
- Experience working with infants or young children
- Documentation of TB test result or treatment as specified in the WAC 110-300-0105
- Documentation of Measles, Mumps & Rubella (MMR) vaccination
- Must be registered in the Dept. of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) MERIT system with a completed Portable Background Check
- Complete all training and certifications required by Washington state, including 30 hours of Basic STARS training plus 10 hours of annual in-service STARS training
- Proof of U.S. citizenship or right to work
