AV rated, small civil trial firm continues to grow and is currently seeking attorneys with civil litigation and trial experience. Qualified attorneys must have at least 3 years of relevant civil litigation experience, primarily in the defense of personal injury claims. Ideal candidates will have excellent legal writing skills and courtroom experience as well.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting partners in case management and litigation from inception through trial.
- Conducting case evaluations and drafting client reporting.
- Conducting client and witness interviews.
- Taking depositions of parties and witnesses.
- Managing discovery.
- Drafting and arguing motions.
- Interacting with and supervising staff.
- Keeping confidential client information in accordance with firm policies
- Accurately entering billable time on a daily basis.
Requirements:
- Law degree from an accredited law school.
- Active member in good standing of the Florida Bar.
- A minimum of 3 years of civil litigation experience, primarily in the defense of personal injury claims.
- Ability to perform legal research, with an in-depth knowledge of legal terminology. The ability to perform medical, scientific, and technical research and knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.
- Excellent legal writing skills.
- Strong understanding of the civil litigation process.
- Excellent teamwork while maintaining the ability to work independently.
- The desire and goal to be a trial attorney.
