What You'll Do
Clinical Care & Patient Support
As an LPN, you'll provide care under the direction of licensed providers while helping create a seamless patient experience.
Responsibilities include:

Participating in patient care under the supervision and collaboration of the healthcare team.

Measuring and documenting vital signs while identifying and reporting abnormal findings.
-
Assisting with clinic flow, including patient check-in, procedures, scheduling, and discharge.

Preparing patients for examinations, treatments, and procedures.
-
Administering medications and vaccinations according to provider orders and departmental policies.
-
Performing non-complex clinical procedures, including simple dressing changes, within scope and competency.

Recognizing emergencies and responding appropriately according to organizational protocols.
-
Observing and reporting signs or symptoms of abuse and neglect in accordance with policy.
-
Providing comfort-focused care with consideration for patient age and individual needs.
-
Collecting, preparing, securing, and transporting specimens for testing.
-
Performing point-of-care testing according to laboratory guidelines.
-
Maintaining medication inventory, monitoring expiration dates, and ensuring proper storage and handling.

Monitoring refrigerator and freezer logs to maintain vaccine and medication integrity.

Preparing, testing, cleaning, and disinfecting clinic equipment according to established standards.
Documentation & Care Coordination
Accuracy matters. You'll help ensure complete and accurate patient records every day.
Responsibilities include:

Documenting clinical tasks, treatments, testing, and procedures in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).

Completing required quality control documentation for waived testing procedures.
-
Reviewing laboratory and radiology results through the EMR.
-
Updating patient demographic information and coordinating follow-up appointments.
-
Maintaining HIPAA compliance and safeguarding patient health information.
-
Preparing safety and incident reports when necessary.
Professionalism & Team Support

Safety & Infection Prevention

Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment.

Reporting safety concerns and environmental hazards promptly.

Participating in Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives and Environment of Care (EOC) rounds.

Promoting a culture of safety for patients, visitors, and staff.
Administrative & Clerical Support
You'll help keep clinic operations running smoothly by:

Gathering clinical documentation for provider review.

Obtaining medical records from outside facilities when needed.
-
Scanning documents into the electronic medical record.
-
Utilizing office equipment including computers, printers, scanners, and fax machines.
-
Answering and routing incoming calls professionally and efficiently.

Supporting scheduling and clinic workflow activities.
✅ What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications
-
Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing Program.
-
Current Louisiana Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing.
-
Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider Certification.
-
Excellent communication, organizational, and patient care skills.
-
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Required Licenses & Certifications
✅ Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Louisiana License
✅ BLS Healthcare Provider Certification (American Heart Association)
✅ Nonviolent Crisis Prevention Certification (CPI/NCI-CPI) (NOEH employees will obtain certification within 90 days of hire.)
