Position Summary: The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for supporting warehouse and operational activities including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and material distribution across warehouse and manufacturing departments.

1. Participate and collaborate in daily team meetings to discuss safety and operations.
2. Complete required job safety analyses and equipment inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational readiness.
3. Complete warehouse and operational distribution activities across warehouse and manufacturing departments, including shipping, receiving, stocking, inventory support, order fulfillment, and packaging.
4. Complete required administrative and system transactions related to shipping, receiving, and inventory.
5. Perform cycle counts, inventory counts, and inventory verification activities to support inventory accuracy and operational workflow.
6. Communicate with internal teams and external customers regarding order status, shipment coordination, and general warehouse operations.
7. Coordinate and schedule freight shipments with carriers and verify readiness and completeness of order prior to shipment.
8. Safely operate forklifts/PITs and other warehouse material handling equipment including but not limited to: pallet jacks, dock levelling equipment, and powered chain cutting tool.
9. Complete light assembly/kitting activities: pendant builds, horn/light kits, etc.
10. Travel between HCS facilities, as needed.
11. Keep work and surrounding areas clean and safe, including breaking down boxes, taking out trash, keeping dock cleared, discarding broken pallets
12. Follow HCS established safety policies/procedures, including additional ones established by the customers, and all local, state, and federal safety regulations including OSHA, MIOSHA, ASME, etc.
13. Report to work as scheduled.
14. Complete all required computer/paperwork accurately and timely.
15. Other duties as assigned.
Abilities and Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient using a computer
- Ability to stand and walk on concrete surfaces 8 to 10 hours per day
- Ability to read, interpret, and comprehend documents such as training instructions, shipping tickets, procedure manuals, etc.
- High attention to detail
- Must be able to drive/travel between Elkhart locations, as needed
Background/Experience:
- Valid Driver’s License with insurable driving record
- Certified Forklift Operator or ability to obtain certification upon hire
- Experience working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint)
- Experience working in a manufacturing/service environment, preferred.
- NetSuite experience, preferred.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
