Position Overview
The Countertop Shop is seeking a detail-oriented Full-Time CAD Design Specialist to join our team. This position will primarily support our drafting department by creating and reviewing countertop shop drawings, verifying template packets, and ensuring accurate project information is prepared for fabrication and installation.
Responsibilities
- Create and modify countertop CAD drawings and shop drawings.
- Review drawings for accuracy, dimensions, and project specifications.
- Verify and organize template packets and related project documentation.
- Assist with quality control by double-checking layouts, measurements, and production details.
- Coordinate with sales, production, and installation teams to ensure project accuracy.
- Maintain organized electronic project files and records.
- Support drafting department workflow and assist with overflow drafting tasks as needed.
- Learn company systems and processes to provide additional support within the operations team.
Qualifications
- Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, measurements, and specifications.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in countertops, cabinetry, construction, manufacturing, or a related industry is a plus.
