We have been exclusively retained by a well-established, growing Manhattan real estate law firm that seeks to hire a litigation attorney for a role focused on commercial and residential landlord-tenant matters in New York City Civil Court. The firm offers a friendly environment with high morale and low attrition. This well-established firm serves as trusted counsel to some of the City’s most prominent property owners, operators, and developers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent landlords in commercial and residential landlord-tenant disputes
- Draft pleadings and substantive motions
- Conduct settlement conferences and pre-trial conferences
- Argue motions and conduct depositions
- Try cases and make frequent court appearances
- Manage approximately 10 challenging cases at a time with active caseload of 50 – 70 matters
What the Firm Seeks:
- 6 or more years of commercial landlord-tenant experience
- New York practice experience and New York bar admission (required)
- Solid on-your-feet experience
- Strong legal writing ability
What the Firm Offers:
- Base salary of about $170,000 - $250,000, depending on relevant experience and seniority, plus discretionary bonus
