SUMMARY
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Instructional Aide for the CBAP Program. This part-time position, requiring 5.5 hours of work per day, will be based at Mount Prospect School. . The successful candidate will support educators in delivering high-quality instructional experiences to students, assisting with a range of tasks that enhance learning and promote student engagement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist teachers in the preparation and implementation of instructional materials and activities.
- Support students in their learning by providing one-on-one or small group assistance as needed.
- Help maintain a positive and productive classroom environment.
- Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback to teachers regarding student needs and performance.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including grading assignments and maintaining student records.
- Facilitate communication between teachers, students, and parents regarding academic progress and concerns.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities as required.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising teacher or program coordinator.
REQUIREMENTS
- Substitute Certificate or Teaching Certification required.
- Prior experience working with children or in an educational setting is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting student learning.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with educational technology.
- Ability to follow instructions and adapt to the needs of individual students.
- Background check clearance as required by local regulations.
