Tree Groundsman – Tree Tactics
Tree Tactics is looking for motivated individuals ready to start a full-time career in the tree care industry. This is a hands-on outdoor position working alongside our experienced crew performing tree removal, pruning, and general tree care operations.

Responsibilities
- Assist with tree trimming, pruning, and removals
- Support rigging and ground operations during tree work
- Safely operate and maintain equipment and tools
- Maintain a clean and safe job site
- Work as part of a team to complete daily tree care projects
Requirements
- Physically strong and able to lift 75–100 lbs
- Valid Connecticut driver’s license
- No outstanding criminal record
- Safety-minded and situationally aware
- Self-motivated individuals seeking a career in arboriculture
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Tryout Information
Candidates must attend our Volunteer Tryout Day.
Date: Saturday, August 1, 2026
Time: 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM
Location: Bitner Park, 1450 Durham Rd, Guilford, CT 06437
Applicants must:
- Submit a completed employment application prior to tryout day
- Provide a copy of their driver’s license
- Arrive wearing sturdy work boots and long pants
Pay range: $18–$22 per hour, with higher pay considered based on experience, credentials, and qualifications.
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
