We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Front Desk Insurance Coordinator to join our team. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and provide outstanding front desk customer service while managing multi-line phone systems and patient inquiries.
- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility using Dentrix and online insurance portals
- Collect and review documentation related to insurance claims, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Facilitate insurance billing processes including PPO and private insurers by submitting claims via Dentrix platforms.
- Schedule appointments efficiently using medical scheduling software; coordinate care plans and follow-up visits.
- Maintain precise medical records by filing electronic and paper documents; ensure confidentiality per HIPAA standards.
- Assist with medical billing inquiries, payment posting, and collections to optimize revenue cycle management.
- Support clinical staff with administrative tasks such as intake procedures, health history updates, and verifying insurance information prior to patient visits.
Experience
- Prior dental office experience is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Dentrix is essential.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, and medical billing procedures required.
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with dental practice management software like Dentrix is a plus.
- Exceptional patient service skills combined with professional phone etiquette; ability to handle multi-line phone systems confidently.
- Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse patient populations effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with clerical experience in filing, documentation review, and health information management preferred.
