We're seeking an organized, proactive Care Coordinator/Scheduler to join our team. This is a fast-paced role for someone who enjoys solving problems, communicating with people, and keeping daily operations running smoothly.
About the Role
As our Home Care Scheduler, you'll coordinate caregiver schedules, respond quickly to staffing changes, and help ensure every client receives dependable care. You'll work closely with caregivers, clients, and the office team while using scheduling software to manage daily operations.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment where priorities can change throughout the day and enjoys finding solutions under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage caregiver schedules based on client needs, caregiver availability, skills, and location
- Respond to last-minute call-outs and adjust schedules as needed to maintain coverage
- Communicate with caregivers and clients via phone, text, and our scheduling platform
- Maintain accurate scheduling records within our care management software
- Assist with caregiver onboarding and orientation
- Track caregiver compliance items, including CPR, TB tests, certifications, and other required documentation
- Work closely with the office team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
- Help improve scheduling processes and overall operational efficiency
Requirements
- 1+ year of experience in scheduling, staffing coordination, healthcare, or a similar operations role
- Home care or home health experience is a plus but not required
- Excellent phone, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Comfortable learning and using new software and digital tools. Familiarity with WellSky, ClearCare, or similar platforms preferred
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and remain calm under pressure. Highly organized with strong attention to detail
