Job Title: Overnight Security Guard/Maintenance
Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Shift: Typically 3:30PM – 11PM
Location: 1250 Riverfront Center Amsterdam, NY
Reports To: Facilities Manager
Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and responsible Overnight Maintenance/ Watchman team member to perform light maintenance tasks and ensure the safety and security of our premises during nighttime hours, while also performing light maintenance tasks. This dual-role position is ideal for someone with a strong sense of vigilance and a hands-on, problem-solving attitude.
Key Responsibilities:Security Duties:
- Patrol premises regularly to maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems.
- Respond promptly to alarms and emergencies.
- Ensure all doors, windows, and gates are properly secured.
- Report any suspicious activity or security breaches to management and/or law enforcement.
Maintenance Duties:
- Conduct routine checks of facilities (lighting, plumbing, HVAC, etc.).
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks as needed.
- Assist with cleanup duties and ensure premises are tidy and ready for daytime operations. Including but not limited to floors, windows, trash and restrooms.
- Report major maintenance issues to the appropriate department.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in security, facilities maintenance, or a related field preferred.
- Ability to remain alert and attentive during overnight hours.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and repair techniques.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Final candidates may be subject to a background check and/or drug screening, in accordance with applicable laws.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk or stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Manual dexterity for handling tools and equipment.
Work Environment:
- Indoor and outdoor work; may be exposed to weather conditions during patrols.
- Low to moderate noise levels.
- Overnight shift with limited supervision.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
