Overview
We are seeking a skilled Slitter Technician to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating and troubleshooting manual and automatic slitting machines and will be responsible for producing high-quality materials according to specifications. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: 21- 26 per hour
Hours: 9:50 PM - 6:10 AM
Duties
- Operate slitting machines to cut materials into specified widths and lengths.
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct quality inspections of finished products using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand production requirements.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any issues that arise during operation.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and meet production deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Skills
- Proficient in operating CNC machinery including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and CNC laser cutting equipment.
- Familiarity with fabrication processes such as welding, plasma cutting, and electrical discharge machining.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in using hand tools and tooling for assembly tasks.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and adjustments.
- Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles is a plus.
- Knowledge of quality inspection processes to ensure product standards are met.
- Ability to operate forklifts and cranes safely within the manufacturing environment.
