Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, common areas, and specialized spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
- Handle chemical agents safely by following established chemical handling safety procedures to ensure effective sanitation without risk.
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks using proper safe lifting practices to move furniture, supplies, or equipment as needed for cleaning or maintenance purposes.
- Maintain cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas.
- Use custodial tools and cleaning equipment efficiently to perform routine and deep-cleaning tasks that uphold sanitation standards.
- Assist with minor facilities maintenance tasks such as painting touch-ups or light repairs to support overall building upkeep.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents and ensure a secure working environment.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any facility-related concerns promptly and professionally.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with cleaning procedures, sanitation standards, and the use of various cleaning equipment including floor buffers is advantageous.
- Experience handling chemical agents safely and knowledge of chemical safety procedures is desirable.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while adhering to safe lifting practices.
- Demonstrated understanding of facilities maintenance tasks such as basic repairs or painting is a plus.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to follow safety protocols consistently and work independently or as part of a team.
- Customer service experience is beneficial for addressing facility-related inquiries professionally.
