Bussers / Food Runners – Now Hiring!
Job Summary
We are seeking energetic and reliable Bussers / Food Runners to join our team. The ideal candidates will be passionate about teamwork, guest service, and maintaining a clean and organized dining environment. In this role, you will help ensure that every guest enjoys an exceptional Japanese dining experience by supporting servers, maintaining table turnover efficiency, and delivering dishes with care and accuracy.
This position includes hourly pay plus tips (pooled or shared based on location).
Duties
- Assist servers by clearing and resetting tables quickly and efficiently.
- Deliver food and beverages promptly from the kitchen to guests, ensuring correct items and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the dining room, server stations, and service areas.
- Refill water, beverages, and assist guests with any requests when needed.
- Communicate effectively with servers, hosts, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Monitor table readiness and assist in managing the pace of seating during busy hours.
- Uphold all safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards according to company and health regulations.
- Support the team with setup and breakdown duties before and after service.
- Represent the restaurant with professionalism and a positive attitude rooted in Japanese omotenashi hospitality.
Experience & Qualifications
- Previous restaurant experience preferred, especially in Japanese dining or high-volume environments.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and multitasking skills.
- High attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Ability to stay calm and organized under pressure.
- Positive attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed.
- Basic knowledge or interest in Japanese cuisine and culture is a plus.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
