Job Summary

Duties

- Perform data extraction, transformation (ETL processes), and loading (using tools like Talend, VBA, Bash scripts) to ensure data accuracy and integrity across SQL databases like Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle.
- Assist in designing and optimizing data models and database schemas to support business intelligence activities.
- Support project management activities within Agile frameworks by tracking progress, documenting requirements, and participating in sprint planning.
- Conduct detailed data analysis using R, Python, Excel, and SQL queries to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvements.
- Contribute to the development of technical documentation such as data flow diagrams (Visio), system specifications, and analysis reports aligned with SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle) standards.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Demonstrated proficiency with SQL databases including query management and database design principles.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI; familiarity with Looker is a plus.
- Knowledge of programming languages including R and Python for data analysis tasks.
- Understanding of ETL processes, database management systems (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle), and scripting languages like Bash or VBA.
- Familiarity with business intelligence concepts, dashboard development, and reporting best practices.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets into clear insights.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating across teams and documenting findings effectively.
