A1 Handy Services is hiring dependable Traveling Field Installation Specialists for commercial and high-end residential interior remodel installation deployments across the United States.
We build and install Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FF&E) for high end Airbnb renovations. This role is built specifically for skilled tradespeople, handymen, and independent builders who want guaranteed corporate pay and tax-free perks on deployment weeks, with the lifestyle flexibility to take time off or run local projects on non-travel weeks.
Why Skilled Technicians Choose A1HS:
- High Weekly Take-Home: Earn ~$1,500 in combined weekly pay and tax-free allowances on active deployment weeks.
- 100% Company-Paid Logistics: We book and cover 100% of your flights, intermediate rental SUVs, and private hotel rooms. Zero out-of-pocket travel costs for you.
- Daily Tax-Free Meal Allowance: $68/day ($442/week) straight to your account, tax-free, under IRS per diem guidelines.
- True Schedule Control:
- Option A: Take non-deployment weeks completely off to rest, hunt, travel, or spend time with family.
- Option B: Pick up local assembly and service calls in the DFW local market to make extra weekly income.
- Direct W-2 Position: W-2 payroll stability with 401(k) retirement options, NOT a 1099 or 100%-commission gig.
What You’ll Do on Deployment:
- Fly & Build: Travel to out-of-state project sites (typically 5 to 7-day deployments) to assemble and mount commercial furniture, fixtures, and equipment; casework, displays, and high-end interior design art/decorations.
- Master Your Craft: Read prints/elevation drawings, use finish carpentry tools, perform site checks, and handle fine-level adjustments.
- Represent A1HS: Maintain professional communication with general contractors, client project managers, and lead installers to ensure project requirements are met on time and within scope.
What We Are Looking For:
- 2+ Years Experience: Background in commercial fixture installation, finish carpentry, FF&E, or high-end handyman services.
- Dependable & Self-Sufficient: You show up on time, take pride in clean installations, and don't need a manager standing over your shoulder. We want true professionals.
- Tools of the Trade: Expertise with professional cordless power tools (drills, impact, levels, fasteners) and a capable of maintaining/caring for issued mobile tool chest/packout ready for airport travel.
- Driver’s License & Clean Record: Required to operate rental SUVs on deployment.
- Physical Capability: Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and handle 10–12 hour active workdays on site.
