What you'll do as: Box Header Plate Fitter
-
Read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings
-
Measure and lay out steel plate materials
-
Fit and assemble box header components
-
Operate hand and power tools for material preparation
-
Inspect workpieces for quality compliance
Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience as a plate fitter, structural fitter, or fabrication fitter
-
Knowledge of fabrication processes and layout techniques
-
Experience with carbon steel, stainless steel, and heavy plate materials
-
Basic tack welding skills
-
Passing Plate Test, UT, and X-ray requirements
