2 openings · Full-time Pay: $45–$60 / hr
Benefits: Company vehicle · Up to 4 weeks PTO · Medical, dental, vision, and life/AD&D insurance · 401(k) · Short-term disability · Clear growth path
About the role
We are growing our team to support heavy commercial and mission-critical environments — including healthcare facilities and large-scale data centers. We're looking for experienced technicians who can independently handle service calls, troubleshooting, and repairs on complex, high-value systems. This is a hands-on field role. You will be working directly on equipment, not coordinating vendors or managing facility maintenance schedules.
What you'll be working on
- Centrifugal and air-cooled chillers — including full tear-downs and tower rebuilds
- Heavy chilled water systems — pumps, pump motors (up to 2,000 lbs+), pump alignment, seals, and springs
- PIUs and precision cooling infrastructure (Liebert, Stulz, Aaon, and similar)
- Cooling towers and condenser water systems
- Large-scale air handling and fan wall systems
- UPS systems, generators, and power infrastructure supporting critical cooling
- BMS/BAS and controls systems
- Blueprint and schematic interpretation
- Rigging and safely moving heavy mechanical equipment using t-frames, trolleys, and cranes
Key responsibilities
- Perform service calls, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy commercial HVAC systems
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and controls-related issues
- Execute pump motor replacements, seal work, alignment, and mechanical rebuilds
- Work safely with large-tonnage equipment in data center and healthcare environments
- Support systems in mission-critical and continuous-uptime environments
- Communicate clearly with superintendents, GCs, and internal teams on-site
What we're looking for
- 4+ years of heavy or industrial commercial HVAC service experience — not light commercial or residential
- Background with companies known for heavy commercial work (large mechanical contractors, union or non-union)
- Hands-on chiller experience: centrifugal, absorption, or air-cooled
- Pump work experience: motor replacement, alignment, seal and spring replacement
- Ability to work independently and lead on complex service calls
- Comfortable answering technical questions from GCs and owners on-site without backup
Preferred (not required)
- Data center or mission-critical HVAC experience
- Healthcare / hospital mechanical systems background
- Controls and BAS experience
- Rigging and heavy equipment handling
- Experience with Liebert, Stulz, or similar precision cooling platforms
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $60.00 per hour
Benefits:
- Dental insurance
- Health insurance
- Life insurance
- Paid time off
- Retirement plan
- Vision insurance
Experience:
- RTU, VRF, VFD, Chiller: 3 years (Required)
- Startup and Commissioning: 3 years (Required)
- CRAC or Liebert, TPAC equipment: 3 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- EPA Universal Certification (Preferred)
- Driver's License (Preferred)
Ability to Commute:
- Covington, GA (Preferred)
Work Location: On the road
