American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Neuro Med/Telemetry unit position requiring 2+ years of experience, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Certification, with day shifts and every-other-weekend availability.

36-bed Neurosciences unit (A6W) in a main campus hospital setting
-
Day shift hours: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
-
Patient ratios are 5:1 standard, with stretch ratios of 6:1 on days and 7:1 on nights
-
Staffing includes 1 Charge RN, 6 RNs, CNAs, and a HUC per shift
-
Common procedures include Foley insertion and IV placement
-
EMR: Cerner
-
Floating required to other med/surg floors
-
Every other weekend required
-
13-week contract
-
Active NC or Compact RN license required
-
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Certification (AHA or ARC accepted; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the start date)

Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in a telemetry or neuro med/surg setting

Neuro experience strongly preferred

US SSN and date of birth required for consideration

One professional reference required

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted

Navy blue scrubs required

A new staff reference book is provided at the start of the contract
