Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and passionate Ballroom Dance Teacher to inspire students of all ages and skill levels to discover the joy of dance. Duties
- Lead engaging group classes and private lessons that motivate students to improve their dancing abilities while ensuring a supportive atmosphere
- Manage classroom dynamics effectively through behavior management strategies and positive reinforcement techniques
- Prepare lesson plans that incorporate creative teaching methods, including photography documentation of student progress or performances when appropriate
- Organize and oversee dance practice sessions, rehearsals, and performances to build confidence and stage presence among students
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, or adult learners to track progress and set achievable goals for each student’s development
- Maintain a safe, inclusive environment that respects diverse backgrounds and promotes childhood development principles
Requirements
- Proven experience in teaching ballroom dancing both American and International Style
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques
- Ability to work effectively with children, preschoolers, or adult learners with varying skill levels
- Familiarity with early childhood education principles, special education needs, or behavior management strategies is a plus
- Passion for dancing combined with excellent communication skills to motivate and inspire learners of all ages
