Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Installer to spearhead installation projects, oversee field operations, and ensure the delivery of top-tier HVAC solutions. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise HVAC installation teams during residential, commercial, or industrial projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to specifications.
- Interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately install heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration systems, and related mechanical equipment.
- Coordinate with project managers and clients to plan installation schedules, resource allocation, and site logistics.
- Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics on HVAC/R systems using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment.
- Oversee the integration of plumbing systems with HVAC installations, ensuring compliance with safety standards and building codes.
- Conduct quality control inspections to verify proper operation of equipment such as boilers, ammonia refrigeration units, and air conditioning systems.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including service reports, schematics updates, and maintenance logs.
- Mentor junior technicians on technical procedures such as welding, equipment repair, property maintenance, and appliance repair to foster skill development within the team.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of construction practices related to HVAC installation and property maintenance.
- Proven experience as a service technician with strong mechanical knowledge in HVAC/R systems.
- Ability to read and interpret detailed schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design plans.
- Skilled in plumbing, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), boiler operation, and mechanical repairs.
- Field service expertise with a focus on equipment repair, maintenance routines, and troubleshooting complex systems.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for system testing and troubleshooting.
- Experience with welding techniques necessary for custom fabrication or repairs in HVAC applications.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating <PERSON> drivers preferred for transportation between sites.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to HVAC/R work environments including handling refrigerants like ammonia safely.
